Probate Administration

Professional executor?

Why should you appoint a professional executor?

By appointing a professional Executor, you can rest easy knowing that the administration process will be dealt with by a dedicated and experienced team. A professional Executor will relieve you of any stress and burden at what can be a difficult time.

More importantly, a professional Executor will take on the liability associated with the administration of an estate and will be fully insured in the event of any issues arising.

As members of the Society of Will Writers we are introducers for the SWW Trust Corporation Probate Services.

Our probate services

Full administration

With the full administration Service we are able to deal with everything on behalf of our clients. This includes valuing the assets, applying for probate, calling in the assets and preparing estate accounts before eventually distributing to the named beneficiaries. Each case has its own dedicated case manager who will handle the case from start to finish.

Grant assist service

We are also able to offer an additional Grant Assist Service where clients are able to administer an estate themselves but would like assistance to obtain the grant of probate. This would involve valuing all assets, preparing the grant application, which would be sent to the executors for completion.

What does it cost?

At East Coast Estate Planning, we have a fixed, transparent pricing policy. That means you know exactly what you'll need to pay - with no nasty surprises!

FULL Administration

from £1250 + VAT

Our standard charge is 2% of the gross estate + VAT. There is a minimum fee of £1250 + VAT for estates under £100,000 in value. Our charges do not cover any external disbursements required to administer an estate, such as probate registry fees, estate agent or conveyancer fees etc.

Grant Assist Service

from £1000 + VAT

Our standard charge for this service is a fixed fee of £1,000 + VAT, or £1250 + VAT for a larger estate where we have to prepare an IHT400 Inheritance Tax Account.
